Relieving your pain and giving you complete care and comfort during any procedure or surgery is our main concern. We will conduct a pre-anaesthesia evaluation (PAC) before the surgery to assess your physical condition and identify any other medical problem you may have that is relevant to anaesthesia.

We have a team of 10 highly qualified specialists with many years of experience between us, who will look after you every second of the procedure or operation using state-of-the-art monitors and equipment. Equipped with modern anaesthesia workstations and other infrastructure, each of our seven Operation Rooms offer the best environment to administer anaesthesia safely.

We offer many options for pain control after surgery such as thoracic and lumbar epidurals, caudal analgesia, peripheral nerve blocks and catheters (these are regional analgesia techniques that block pain in a particular part of the body) and patient-controlled analgesia (PCA pumps) apart from the conventional pain medicines. For the expectant mothers, we offer labour analgesia epidurals, which make the delivery process much less painful and stressful.

Additionally, when required, our team provides anaesthesia care outside the Operating Theatre, in areas like the Cardiac Cath Lab, CT & MRI suites, Radiotherapy, Reproductive Medicine Unit and Endoscopy Rooms.

You are in safe hands with us.

The Department of Anaesthesiology at Bangalore Baptist Hospital ensures that the patient is relieved of pain and gets complete care and comfort during any procedure or surgery. Our team of seven consultants use various modalities during surgery such as epidurals, patient controlled anaesthesia, and nerve blocks for a comfortable and pain free experience in the Operation Theatre (OT). General anesthesia is overall very safe; most people, even those with significant health conditions, are able to undergo general anesthesia itself without serious problems. In fact, your risk of complications is more closely related to the type of procedure you're undergoing and your general physical health, rather than to the type of anesthesia. Older adults, or those with serious medical problems, particularly those undergoing more extensive procedures, may be at increased risk of postoperative confusion, pneumonia, or even stroke and heart attack
