The Nursing Institute will be celebrating Silver Jubilee in the year 2021. Over the years more than 500 young women have graduated with excellent competency. The Nursing Institute has consistently maintained higher standard and quality in Nursing Education. The students are exposed to different clinical specialities and super specialities at Bangalore Baptist Hospital. The students have mentors and counsellors to guide them throughout the programme. In fact students are prepared to be confident and competent at the time of graduation.

The vision of the Nursing Institute is to empower young women especially from the weaker socio-economic of the society.

 

Why study at the Institute of Nursing?

The Simulation lab

A full-fledged state of the art simulation lab, provides real-life experience to the students by removing fear and enhancing confidence to gain competency in skill and we are very proud that it’s first of its kind. A research study in collaboration with Baylor faculty, has proved there is a significant difference in the improvement of skill competency. The simulation lab prepares the student to handle patients in settings like emergency, critical care units, labour room and midwifery, paediatric and community.

Facilities

BBH provides experienced faculty and classrooms with smart boards; A library that houses various reference books and journals. Students get very good hands on experience due to excellence standards maintained at Bangalore Baptist Hospital. Clean, safe and furnished hostel accommodation with food facilities.

Extracurricular activities

The extra-curricular activities include sports, competitions in quiz, poster making, fashion shows & flower decoration.

As per the recent Karnataka Government notice, Common Entrance Test is compulsory for B.Sc.(N) admission for candidates from all over India applying for admission for the academic year 2024-2025. Candidates who have not registered till now for CET 2024, can register from 6pm on 18/3/24 to 20/3/24 11:59pm .Kindly refer the KEA website.

College of Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing)- Four years

Established in 2011, the College of Nursing is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka and is recognised by Karnataka Nursing Council and Indian Nursing Council.

Rebekah Ann Naylor Institute of Nursing (General Nursing Midwifery Programme)

Established in 1996 to accomplish the training objectives of the hospital, the institute is named after a pioneer missionary surgeon. The institute offers three years Diploma Programme in General Nursing and Midwifery and is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council, the Board of Nursing Education, South India Board (Christian Medical Association of Indian) and Karnataka Nursing Council.

10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent Board from the School and recognised by the Indian Nursing Council – 40%. OR

Registered as ANM with State Nursing Registration Council. OR
